I Love Lecrae!

24 09 2011

Of course I don’t know Lecrae but coming from the (world) into a realm that’s not of this world my view was of course that wow (he looks good…definitely dateable) which I didn’t think was possible (in my ignorance) U get this view of churchy boys that have no kind of swag at all. The best thing is that I don’t feel any kind of lust towards Lecrae nor would I feel comfortable feeling any lust towards him, its pure love for who he is as a person. & that’s how all men and women should carry themselves, but obviously that’s not the case.

Men (& women) purposely entice lust to one another, but ultimately every human being desires love. Every human being desires a relationship with God, God is Love 1 John 4:8. But most don’t move past their desires, stuck instead by their surroundings and their past. What’s attractive about a man that desires to draw you away from God? You don’t love the singers, rappers, athletes; movie stars that feed off your weakness to gain money for themselves…I mean how could you? How can you love something that is not a reflection of what love is?

Lecrae is an image in (Christian Hip Hop) of a guy I would want to date…In Secular Hip Hop women love secular rappers & most would want to date them. Secular rappers talk about everything most women want…the money, cars, fame, sex, party life. But that’s not what (I) want. (I) want so much more. I want what God has promised to all his children. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.”

What I see in Lecrae…is what I see in myself.

Lecrae is a reflection of Christ…I want a husband that reflects Christ. A husband that is not ashamed of the gospel Romans 1:16 a husband who’s inner spirit is reflected outwardly through his passion for living for Christ! & I don’t want it to seem that just because I use Lecrae in my example that my husband needs to be a Christian rapper…Lecrae was the first image of the YOUNG Christian world that I saw. I honestly didn’t know there were young people out there boldly living for Christ. Christian Hip-Hop makes Christianity BOLD. & when I see a man that is so UNASHAMED of being exactly who he is (exactly who I am) the only word I can use is Love. How can you not? When what you read in the Word is being reflected in another human being? & I don’t expect Lecrae or my husband for that matter to be perfect like Christ…but it’s the passion. Going beyond desiring living for Christ, & actually living for Christ. Passionately pursuing your purpose in Gods will!

DESIRE – to want something

PASSION – the refusal to live without something

Lecrae has gone beyond the realm of desire into the realm of passion! & yes there are several men that have found their passion for life but their passion isn’t to live for Christ it’s to live for themselves. This includes normal everyday non celebrity men as well…miss me with that.

The passion that Lecrae has for living for Christ is sooooo attractive!

It’s his passion (his refusal to live for anything but Christ) that has got him to where he is today. Ultimately it’s his passion for Christ that I love. The fact that he has found his purpose is why his passion has turned into success. A man (in the world) can find his purpose & never have “worldly success” but a man living for God who finds his purpose will be successful no matter what. God never fails Zephaniah 3:5

Lecrae has the outlet of music to express what is in him outside of himself.

I’m past desiring living for Christ, I do live for Christ (he’s my passion) only thing is I don’t know yet how I will use my talents to glorify Christ (my purpose), I just know (how) will be revealed to me in Gods time.

What’s attractive about a man that wants to live for himself?? Nothing. What’s attractive about a man that wants to live for the same thing I’m living for??? Everything.
